Since I've already posted one piece of fantastic music for the piano, I figure I should make a theme of it. Accordingly, here are but a few of the piano pieces I have always wanted to be able to play, but lacked the skill. First, two famous studies by Chopin.
Next, the murderously difficult Third Movement to Beethoven's "Moonlight" Sonata. While just about every classical piano student (myself included) manages to learn the much better known First Movement (to which the sonata owes its moniker), I remember looking aghast at the pages nearly black with notes for the Third Movement wondering how on earth anyone could play that. Well, here's how:
And finally, even though I've posted a Seeqpod of this before, I find the First Movement of Rachmaninoff's Second Piano Concerto in C Minor to be one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard. Accordingly, enjoy:
